Mark Eitzel

Mark Eitzel's New CD Klamath

If you head north far enough up Highway 5 and then steer towards the coast to where the Klamath River meets Indian Creek you'll come to a place where Mark Eitzel found the peace and quiet to get out of the way and work on the twelve new songs from his latest album called "Klamath". This is collection of memories that washed over him, memories of old friends and lost youth that have all disappeared like bourbon and Cokes and dead rock stars or the bums that used to call your name.

This twelve song collection is Eitzel's first solo CD since "Candy Ass" in 2005. "Klamath" will not available in stores or on iTunes in the United States. All copies of this new CD have been personally autographed by Mark.

Here is what the critics are saying about Klamath

Rolling Stone -★★★★

MOJO - ★★★★

The Independent - It's gorgeous and every bit as good as those early American Music Club records.

BBC - The music is minimal, foregrounding Eitzel’s vexed and/or anguished sigh against an unobtrusive backdrop of his acoustic guitar, the keyboards of AMC’s Marc Capelle and The Hold Steady’s Franz Nicolay, and the drums of Dave Douglas. The words are brooding and rueful, sounding like the random ransackings of the memory often prompted by isolation. Eitzel bobs amid the flotsam of friendships and relationships, clinging for dear life to anything still floating.

Uncut - It's easily Eitzel's most satisfying solo album yet.

Pop Matters - As always, Eitzel’s vocals and lyrics are spectacular.

Sorry, both Klamath and Brannan Street Are Sold Out!

Decor Records still has a limited number of copies left. Thanks to everyone who purchased the CDs
